In an effort to partake in the October festivities and get myself in the Fall season I agreed to a more festive photo shoot. I’ve never really been one to get excited about Halloween, pumpkin patches and apple picking but I think the lack of change in weather has me wanting to participate this year.
Fall is maybe one of my favorite seasons of the year. I love everything about it: the change in weather, the clothes and boots I get to wear, the changing color of the leaves and the invitation for all things cozy. This year, however, is hotter than most and I can’t wait for the day that I get to cozy up in a big sweater and a warm beverage in hand. Until then, I’ll be grateful for this warm weather and participate in some October activities.
I may not be a lover of all things pumpkin spice yet or have the ultimate urge to dress up as someone else for Halloween, but I am able to appreciate pumpkin decorations and learning to love the color orange.
Because the weather has been unusually warmer than past years during Fall, I decided to wear cropped charcoal grey jeans from Madewell with this plaid bomber jacket from Target’s Who What Wear collection. This is the perfect outfit for a sunny Fall day. The material is light for the weather, but has the pattern of colder months. These two pieces are my fall staples this season. You can dress them up or dress them down and have an effortless, yet put together, quality that Southern Californians love.
