MY TOP PRODUCTS FOR ECZEMA

May 26, 2017

Since starting the search for quality, yet safe products that are also effective on my sensitive, eczema skin I’ve found some tried and true products. It’s important to have at least a product you can count on especially when you seem to be having your worst skin day, whether that be an eczema flare up or just really dry or irritated skin.

Living in Southern California can sometime mean I end up in places that are really dry because of the desert-like climate. Here are my MVPs for the season.

DOCTOR’S DEFENSE

I just bought a new bottle of this because I already ran out. The Doctor’s Defense Zen Fusion formula really helps control and gets rid of redness and inflammation for those with eczema and psoriasis. It is made of natural ingredients to help relieve symptoms. I saw change within a couple of weeks of using this! I will say that I still feel itchy, but my skin looks a lot better.

CICALFATE BY AVENE

I recently mentioned Cicalfate by Avene in a previous post, but I just had to mention it again. I still use this product from time to time, especially when I have wounds from scratching so much. If you need a product to help rebuild your cutaneous barrier of your skin this is the product for you. It helps to restore, soothe and control any broken or damaged skin. This products also contains Avene’s Thermal Spring Water which is amazing for red, irritated skin.

AQUAPHOR

Aquaphor can be used for almost anything. I like to use this for extra dry skin after I’ve already put lotion. You can use this for cuts, cracked lips, or flaky skin. I don’t leave the house without a travel size of this. It is dermatologist recommended and does not have any fragrance, dyes or preservatives, which is something I always look for in a product.

My skin is so sensitive that I have to be careful with what I use. All the products listed above are safe for sensitive skin.
