Dear Travelers with a Carry-on Luggage

December 9, 2015

When I pack for a trip I make sure my carry on has everything I need. Whether I am traveling by train, plane, bus or car I like to make sure I have my necessities right at my finger tips. Here are a few rules I like to keep to always make sure I have my bases covered.

Everything travel size

I don’t like to carry more than I have to and when you are waiting for your flight or standing in line for a long time that bag can start to get heavy. I bought all of my travel sized items at Target for a one stop run.

Bring a clear, plastic case for all your liquids

In case anything explodes or spills this plastic case has got you covered. Nothing will get ruined if you keep your lotions and other liquid products in here. I bought a clear bag so that when I go on the plane the security can check my items quickly and efficiently.

Keep hydrated

Traveling anywhere can leave you feeling dehydrated and it can start to show on your skin. I like to carry around lotion for my face and hands, as well as, Evian Natural Mineral Water to spray on my face leaving me feeling refreshed. You can find a travel size version of this mineral water at Sephora.

Keep Clean

I always carry some travel Wet Ones with me because you never know when you will accidentally spill something or if there is something you have to touch that is extra dirty. You can use this for almost anything. No one wants germs! By the way, use dry shampoo for those long trips. It will save your life and your hair!

Keep yourself organized

I don’t know about you, but I like to always bring my charger with me and some earphones so I can listen to music while I wait for my flight. In order to keep all the cords in places I like to use a cord organizer like this one above.

Bring a bag of your choice that will fit everything

My choice for carry ons are usually backpacks so I can be hands free, but this year I chose to go classic with this vintage brown leather bag. It is perfect for weekend getaways or for stowing away all my items in an airplane.

Always bring a snack!

You never know when you’ll get stuck somewhere and my guess is you will start to get hungry. I have a fast metabolism so I am hungry every hour. I need to always bring something with me. Bring something healthy and sustainable like almonds to keep you on track with your diet!

Wherever you go and whatever you do make sure you create a checklist so you are sure to bring everything you need. Remember, you don’t need to spend a lot to travel. Just bring what you need!

Where are you going next? Comment and tell me below!

With Love,
